Lindsay Nakashima 先生
Workshop Instructor
Lindsay earned her B.A. at Iowa State University and began her M.A. studies from the University of Iowa in Japanese History. She graduated from the North Bennet Street School with a certification in bookbinding. She has written and published articles on Japanese papermaking techniques, and instructs bookbinding and papermaking at the Austin Book Arts Center, and is adjunct faculty at the The University of Texas at San Antonio School of Art. She is currently the Executive Director of JASGA, where she has also lectured on Japanese Papermaking and the Woodworking of George Nakashima. She has a woodworker son and a shiba inu, named after her great grandmother Suzu.
